1. Applicability
These terms & conditions apply to all bookings, services, and products offered by Jonojé Bed & Breakfast, located at Kanunnik Duclosstraat 1, Brugge, Belgium.
By using our services or making a booking, you agree to these terms & conditions. Deviations are valid only if agreed upon in writing.
Applicability vis-à-vis Online Travel Agencies (OTA's)
For reservations made through third-party booking platforms (e.g. Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb), these Terms & Conditions apply in addition to the terms set by the respective platform. In the event of any inconsistency, the platform’s terms apply to the booking process itself, while these Terms & Conditions govern the stay and services provided by Jonojé.
2. Reservations and Payments
2.1 Reservations
A booking is considered confirmed only after you receive a written confirmation from Jonojé Bed & Breakfast.
2.2 Payments
Full prepayment is required to confirm a reservation, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Jonojé reserves the right to cancel a booking if payment is not received within the specified time.
2.2a Post-Stay Charges
By providing credit card details at the time of booking or check-in, the guest authorizes Jonojé to charge this card for any outstanding balances, additional services used during the stay (such as minibar, bicycle rental, or late check-out), or costs arising from damage or loss as described in these Terms & Conditions.
2.2b Security Deposit
To ensure a smooth and comfortable stay for all guests, Jonojé applies a security deposit of EUR 300 per room. This deposit is secured via the credit card provided at the time of booking or check-in and may be used to cover incidentals, additional services, or any damage or loss as described in these Terms & Conditions.
All payment handling related to the security deposit is performed exclusively by credit card and processed securely through Worldline.
If no deductions apply, the deposit (or pre-authorization) is automatically released or unblocked within 7 days after departure. Please note that the exact timing may vary depending on your card issuer or bank.
If the cost of damage or outstanding charges exceeds the deposit amount, Jonojé reserves the right to charge the remaining balance to the guest’s registered payment method.
2.3 Cancellations
- Cancellations up to 14 days before arrival: Full refund.
- Cancellations within 14 days of arrival: No refund.
- No-shows: Full payment retained.
- In the event of early departure, no refund will be issued.
2.4 Non-Refundable Rates
Some promotional or discounted rates are offered as non-refundable. For these bookings, no changes, cancellations, or refunds are possible under any circumstances. By selecting a non-refundable rate, the guest accepts that the total amount will be charged at the time of booking and will not be refunded in case of cancellation or no-show.
2.5 Prices and Additional Charges
Room rates are stated per night and include applicable taxes unless otherwise indicated. Additional services such as parking, breakfast, or extra beds are not included in the room rate unless explicitly mentioned in the booking confirmation. Jonojé reserves the right to adjust prices for optional services at any time.
2.6 Tourist Tax
Local tourist tax may apply and is not included in the room rate unless stated otherwise.
The applicable amount will be added to your total and specified in your booking confirmation.
3. Check-In and Check-Out
3.1 Check-In
Check-in starts at 3:00 PM. Late arrivals must be communicated in advance.
3.2 Check-Out
Check-out is by 11:00 AM. Late check-out is subject to availability and additional fees.
4. Liability and Responsibility
4.1 Personal Belongings
Jonojé is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings, except in cases of gross negligence.
4.2 Damages and Theft
Guests are liable for any damage caused to the property, furnishings, or equipment. Jonojé reserves the right to charge the cost of repair or replacement to the guest’s registered payment method.
The removal or theft of any property belonging to Jonojé, including but not limited to towels, decorative items, bicycles, keys, or equipment, will result in an immediate charge to cover replacement costs and may be reported to the authorities if necessary.
4.3 Condition of the Room
The room and its facilities are deemed to be in good condition upon check-in, unless the guest immediately notifies Jonojé of any visible damage or defect. Such notification must be made in writing (e.g. by email or message) and include a brief description and photo of the issue.
Failure to report such issues at the start of the stay implies acceptance of the room’s condition. Any damage identified after check-out will be considered to have occurred during the guest’s stay, and repair or replacement costs may be charged accordingly.
4.4 Parking
Parking is available for guests at their own risk. Jonojé is not liable for loss or damage to vehicles or their contents.
4.5 Force Majeure
Jonojé shall not be held responsible for failure to provide services due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, power outages, government restrictions, or other force majeure situations.
5. House Rules
5.1 No Smoking or Pets
Smoking is prohibited indoors. Pets are not allowed unless explicitly agreed upon.
5.2 Noise and Conduct
Guests must respect the peace and privacy of others. Excessive noise or inappropriate behavior may result in termination of the stay without refund.
5.3 Cleaning
Jonojé reserves the right to charge an additional cleaning fee if the room is left in an unreasonable condition.
6. Bicycle Rental
Bicycles may be rented by guests subject to availability and applicable rental conditions.
Guests are responsible for any loss, theft, or damage occurring during the rental period.
Jonojé reserves the right to request a deposit and to charge repair or replacement costs in case of damage or loss.
Detailed rental terms must be accepted at the time of rental.
7. Privacy
Personal data provided during booking will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Jonojé only collects and uses personal information for the purpose of managing reservations and guest communication.
8. Reviews and Public Statements
Guests are encouraged to share honest feedback about their stay.
However, reviews or public statements that are demonstrably false, defamatory, or intended to cause reputational harm may be subject to legal action.
Jonojé reserves the right to respond publicly or seek correction of inaccurate statements.
9. Security Deposit
A security deposit of EUR 300 is required for every reservation. This amount will be pre-authorized or charged to the credit card provided at the time of booking. The deposit is intended to cover any incidental charges, damages, or outstanding balances incurred during your stay.Payments can only be made by credit card. All transactions are processed securely through Worldline, ensuring a legitimate and encrypted payment process.If no deductions are applicable, the deposit will be released or refunded within 7 days after departure. Processing times may vary depending on your card issuer.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Belgian law applies. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Brugge, Belgium.
